DCRA Closed for Training Thursday, October 25th

The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) will close its offices on Thursday, October 25th to conduct agency-wide employee training. As a result, all DCRA offices at 1100 4th Street SW will be closed.

 

Customers are encouraged to plan ahead for services requiring an in-person visit as we may experience a high volume of customers during the business days before and after the closing. 

 

DCRA has many online services and portals, enabling customers to Skip the Trip to our offices and conduct DCRA business 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. 

 

The following agencies, located in the permit center, will operate at an alternate location or on an altered schedule:

 

  • Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE): The Regulatory Review Division, located at 1100 4th Street SW, Suite 3027, will be open. Customers can also call 202-380-6579 or 202-309-5812 for additional information.
  • Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department (FEMS): The Fire Prevention Division, located at 1100 4th Street SW, Suite E700, will be open. Customers can also submit permit applications online at fems.dc.gov or get additional information by calling 202-727-1614.
  • Office of Planning (OP): The Historic Preservation Office, located at 1100 4th Street SW, Suite E650, will be open. Customers can also call 202-442-7600 for additional information.
  • DC Water: Will close its permitting operations and reopen on Friday, October 26th. Customers can also call 202-787-2000 for additional information.
