NFB Newsline

Do you like newspapers or magazines? Would you like to have free access to them? If you sign up for NFB-Newsline, you will have FREE access to many newspapers and magazines.

NFB-Newsline has many great features.  As well as providing access to 400 newspapers and updated services from CNN, the BBC and the Associated Press, NFB-Newsline offers job listings, television listings, store circulars and weather reports. There is also a local Information Channel, which has announcements and newsletters from several organizations, including D.C. Public Library Center for Accessibility, the Prevention of Blindness Society, and the Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind.

NFB-Newsline is easy to use. From your phone, you would use the numbered buttons to select which publication you want to read and which section.  You would then use the buttons to move between articles within a section.  You can search for words within a publication in order to find articles on a chosen topic.

Anyone who is blind or has low vision is eligible to sign up for NFB-Newsline. If you are interested in doing so, please email me at Nfb.newsline@dc.gov Or call me at 202-403-9279. If you live in Washington DC, I will fill out the NFB-Newsline application with you and sign you up. If you live in Maryland or Virginia, I will tell you who to contact who can sign you up.

Please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions about NFB-Newsline or if you would like to learn how to use it.

Respectfully yours,
