Dear RN/APRN Licensee,
We are excited to inform you that the Health Regulation and Licensing Administration (HRLA) is transitioning to a new online licensure system THIS RENEWAL PERIOD. The changes are as follows:
- Licenses no longer mailed to you. Once you are renewed, you will receive an email and you will be able to print a certificate verifying your licensure status.
- Requirement to submit evidence of CE compliance. You will need to upload your Continuing Education (CE) documents or indicate that you are a CE Broker Subscriber (cebroker.com).
- If you have been selected for audit, you will be notified when you sign-in to renew your license.
- The ability to select "Inactive Status". If you are not currently working in DC, you may choose to place your license in "Inactive Status." Your licensure status will remain inactive until you apply to reactivate it.
- If you answer “YES” to a screening question, you will be able to write an explanation and/or upload documents that will be sent directly to Board of Nursing staff for review.
