Are You Smarter Than DC GIS, Again!?

Search, discover and challenge your knowledge of DC by playing with us on GIS Day, November 16th.

DC GIS is again celebrating GIS Day this year by using social media to host a game of trivia, riddles and quick analysis questions. We did this last year and had so much fun we are doing it again! We think we have tougher questions too.

Started in 1999, GIS Day has grown into an international gathering for all to explore the world’s geography, share spatial tools and build the geo-community. On November 16th join us in exploring our corner of the world – about 69 square miles.

GIS professionals in DC government have come up with some interesting questions we hope you will have some fun coming up with answers to. Some are easy, some are mind-benders and some are tricky.

  • When: November 16th from 11:00am to 3:00pm. You can jump in at any point during this time period.
  • Where: online via Twitter @OCTODC and @opendatadc
  • Ask us questions too! Starting at 2:00pm tweet us questions to stump us.

What to expect?

  • Questions will be announced using Twitter using the hashtag #DCGISDay
  • Respond on Twitter. It's that easy!
