Here’s to the Kids: Author Talks for Young Readers
November is packed with author talks for all ages, but here are a couple especially for our young readers—brought to you by authors who write just for them. So gather your little bookworms and head to the library! These talented storytellers are sure to delight, and let’s be honest—grownups can learn a thing or two from children’s books, too. It’s a win for the whole family.

New to our system, DC Public Library is proud to have partnered with Ello to bring 1:1 literacy support to local branches! With only a few weeks under our belt, we’re already hearing great things from customers who are using the digital reading app with their kids and grandkids to tackle early literacy!
Ello is a digital reading app that uses speech recognition technology to do what a great teacher would do: listen as kids read out loud from real books, provide coaching and correct mistakes, and encourage kids to keep going. Ello is available in 8 locations across the city and available to anyone in need of 1:1 reading support. Ask a librarian about Ello at any of the following branches:

Cleveland Park Library
