Imagine one of these happen to you:

  • Seasonal allergies
  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Dental issues

You call your primary care provider’s (PCP’s) office, but you aren’t able to get an appointment. Luckily, there is another place where you can get care: urgent care centers.

Urgent care centers complement your PCP by offering care for non-life-threatening issues when your PCP’s office is closed.

How to Choose Between Urgent Care and Emergency Care

Urgent care centers are equipped to handle most minor injuries or illnesses. They will also be able to see you faster than at an Emergency Room (ER). The graphic below will help you decide whether to go to an urgent care center or the ER.

You can print the graphic. Then, put it up on a wall or the fridge so you’ll know where to find it if you need it.

Knowing the right choice to make can save you time, and more importantly, your life or the life of a loved one.

    Sincerely,
