A county map can help new and longstanding residents alike get a detailed overview of Weld County. Weld County’s Geographic Information Systems Division has many PDF maps available to download that provide information on:

• Land ownership.
• School districts – Find a detailed map outlining the county’s 17 school districts.
• County commissioner districts – If you’re curious about which commissioner district you’re located in, the Board of County Commissioners District Map is a great resource.
• The different fire districts throughout Weld County.
• County roads. This can help identify exactly where a road construction, closure or improvement is taking place.
• The location and number of county owned buildings.
• County history – Find book scans of county road right of way dating back to 1889.

The Weld County Clerk to the Board’s (CTB) Office, located in the Weld County Administration Building at 1150 O St. in Greeley, offers free notary public services during business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday). Please note an ID is required to verify the person signing the document. While no appointment is necessary, there are times — particularly on Monday or Wednesday — when CTB staff is busy at board of county commissioner meetings or land-use hearings, so residents are advised to call ahead to be sure someone is available. Pressure Gauge Canner testing (Low fee)

Those who preserve fruits and vegetables through canning may find this next service interesting! The Weld County CSU Extension Office provides pressure gauge testing for Presto Pressure Gauge Canners for $10. This service is only provided for canners manufactured by Presto, as they are the only true pressure-gauge canners. Most others are weighted-gauge canners, and don’t require testing for food safety purposes.

Non-emergency dispatch phone number (Free)

If someone’s health, safety or property is compromised, call 911 — or text 911 if talking might put you in danger. For anything else, call the Weld County Regional Communications Center’s non-emergency number at (970) 350-9600.

What kinds of situations should you report to the non-emergency number?

When there is suspicious activity in your neighborhood, business or current location. Examples include:

• Burglaries that are NOT currently in progress.
• Car accidents with no injuries, not impeding traffic, no drugs or alcohol suspected.
• “Cold” or non-emergency shoplifts that present no immediate threat to safety.
• Abandoned vehicles.
• To report runaways who have safely returned home.
• Follow-ups regarding previously reported incidents.
• Suspected instances of fraud or identity theft.

IndentoGo® Fingerprinting Services (Fee)

Weld County Department of Human Services has teamed up with IdentoGO® to offer fingerprinting services for employment and background checks through the Colorado Applicant Background Service (CABS) program. To access these services, customers must pre-enroll by either scheduling an appointment online or by calling IdentoGO® Call Center at (844) 539-5539. It's important to note that walk-ins are not accepted, and payment can be made via debit/credit cards, business checks, or money orders — cash and personal checks aren't allowed. IdentoGO® is available to anyone from anywhere who has set up an appointment at the Weld County location. The typical cost to use this service ranges between $35 to $55.

Low Vision Program (Free)

The Low Vision Program provides financial assistance and support to access assistive devices such as, but not limited to, personal magnifiers, talking watches or clocks, and other devices to enhance quality of life. Weld County residents aged 60 and over who have a visual impairment that is not correctable with glasses are eligible to apply. For more information, please call (970) 400-6629.

Home Safety Program (Fee; eligible for reimbursement)

The Home Safety Program provides assistance with the installation of grab bars through a voucher reimbursement to older adults in Weld County. The program is designed to help maintain independence by increasing the safety of individuals living at home. To be eligible, participants must be 60 or older, residents of Weld County and demonstrate a need through an assessment. Services must be completed by a licensed contractor. Participants pay the provider for services rendered and receive reimbursement up to their voucher amount ($400 max). Lead Program (Free)

The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment’s lead program offers free lead testing for personal items such as cookware, jewelry and toys. Approximately 3.3 million U.S. households, including 2.1 million low-income households, have children under age six who are at risk of lead exposure. Children can also be exposed through contaminated food, toys, cookware or other household items. Even low levels of lead can negatively affect a child’s development, causing cognitive issues, delayed growth, learning and behavior problems and more. Travel Immunization Program (Fee)

For those planning a trip to a developing country, the travel immunization program, provided by the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment can give travelers needed and recommended vaccinations as well as an in-depth view of the destination country’s health, safety and security. Visits include a nurse’s review of the client’s health history, provision of appropriate pre-travel care, immunizations and prescriptions for prevention of travel-related illnesses. Post-travel care includes discussion of common medical complaints in the returned travelers.

All travelers will be required to pay the following fees at time of service.

• Consultation fee
• Vaccine fee
• Admin fee per vaccine

Diabetes Prevention Program (Free)

Weld County’s Diabetes Prevention Program, called The Heart of Weld, provides free screenings to local businesses and community organizations. Diabetes screenings offer significant benefits for employers by promoting a healthier workforce and reducing the long-term costs associated with untreated diabetes.

Early detection of diabetes allows individuals to access timely care and implement lifestyle changes, which can help prevent serious complications like heart disease, stroke and kidney damage. Additionally, screening initiatives can foster a culture of wellness, demonstrating a commitment to employee and community health.
