Counties forge meaningful connections between workers, employers, community colleges, workforce organizations and other local stakeholders to address workforce concerns in their communities.
In addition to a robust Employment Services division, Weld County works closely with Aims Community College, the University of Northern Colorado and Upstate Colorado on workforce building.

Question: With all of this construction, it seems like there are more and more road closures occurring everywhere. How can I stay informed about county road projects and closures?
There are many ways to stay on top of Weld County road projects and closures:
Via the PDF on the Public Works webpage - Updated regularly, the PDF of road closures, construction and reclamation projects contains the locations of construction projects, estimated length of closures and a brief description of the work being done.
The Weld County Public Infrastructure map - The map is updated during construction season, which typically begins in March and can last through November (weather depending). Please note, the map does not contain information related to road closures or construction projects within municipalities.
Information on bigger, lengthier projects is also published either in news releases at www.weld.gov or on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

So the goal of this newsletter is to highlight some of the partnerships, technology and efficiencies we are using to make government stronger and more effective for its residents.
Our goal is to establish regular communication with residents, spur interest in county projects, highlight county accomplishments and provide meaningful information to the public. In fact, our goal is to live up to the name “County Roots.” Want to know more about the meaning behind the name? Please visit our webpage, where you can also find previous editions of this newsletter.
