This month's title is: "The Women in the Castle"
Email Kim at KMcNally@vail.gov to receive an invitation to the Zoom meeting.
Amid the ashes of Nazi Germany’s defeat, Marianne von Lingenfels returns to the once-grand castle of her husband’s ancestors, an imposing stone fortress now fallen into ruin following years of war. The widow of a resister murdered in the failed July 20, 1944, plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler, Marianne plans to uphold the promise she made to her husband’s brave conspirators: to find and protect their wives, her fellow resistance widows. First Marianne rescues six-year-old Martin, the son of her dearest childhood friend, from a Nazi reeducation home. ART @ YOUR LIBRARY
Vail Public Library proudly displays local artists’ work in our Community Room on a rotating schedule. Public viewing is available during library hours.
The artist on display for the month of November is: Charmayne Bernhardt
Charmayne Bernhardt is grateful to the Vail Public Library for the opportunity to hang her work. Painting primarily in watercolor, Charmayne enjoys the creative process and sharing it with others. She has also illustrated books, done Trail Head illustrations of flora and fauna for the US Forest Service and the Town of Vail, Vail Resorts, and lots of commissions. Her hope is that this show will bring you a smile, and a happy heart. “Art has its own voice and speaks to us all in different ways. I hope you will hear what you need to as you view this show.”
