Permit System Maintenance
On January 22, 2022, the Town's online permit application system will be down for maintenance between the hours of 4:00AM and 12:00PM. During this time, access to the 24/7 Permit Application system will be unavailable.
2021 Community Development Year in Review
2021 saw record building activity in the Town of Vail. Several large projects were completed throughout the year including Vail Health's East Wing addition receiving a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy; Vail Marriott's Hythe renovation; Altus Vail was completed after three years of construction.

Limited Inspections
Limited or No Inspections. During the week of March 7-11, 2022, the Building Division of Community Development will be attending required annual training sessions and will have very limited inspection capabilities. Keep an eye on future newsletters that will detail more specific inspection coverage updates and outages.

2021 ICC Code Adoption
June 2021
The 2021 versions of the International Codes have been published and we are currently reviewing them for potential adoption. These codes are discussed during the Building & Fire Code Appeals Board (BFCAB) meetings which occur on the second Thursday of every month. Take a look at the Town of Vail website for more information on how to attend these public meetings and become involved in the code adoption discussions. Prior to adoption, there will be code training available for the community
