Stamped Approved Plans Required to be On-Site
Many inspections that are performed require the inspector to compare the work that has been completed to the approved set of drawings. Thus, please ensure that you have a set of Town approved plans on your jobsite – those that have the Town stamp in the upper right hand corner. They can be in paper form or electronically on a tablet or computer, but if you do not have them, some of your inspections are likely to fail. We do not like to impact your schedule any more than you do, so please comply with this code requirement. Yes – you read that right! It is a CODE REQUIREMENT to have your approved plans on site:
“[A] 107.3.1 Approval of construction documents. When the building official issues a permit, the construction documents shall be approved, in writing or by stamp, as “Reviewed for Code Compliance.” One set of construction documents so reviewed shall be retained by the building official. The other set shall be returned to the applicant, shall be kept at the site of work and shall be open to inspection by the building official or a duly authorized representative.”

On-My-Way Text Notification
|
|
For years, our customers have requested the option to receive On-My-Way notifications by text instead of email. Our customers had told us that text is a more direct line of communication from our team and, when in the field, many contractors do not have access to email as Wi-Fi and cell service in our mountain community can be pretty spotty.
On-My-Way Text notification is coming to the Town, and all of our contractors, contacts and applicants will automatically be enrolled to receive text inspection notifications. All permit contacts with a valid cell phone number will receive the inspection notification via text. Permit contacts without a valid cell phone number will continue to receive notifications by email. On-site contacts who share a single email address (i.e., info@busybeecontracting.com) will have to choose how all contacts will receive notifications. If one team member decides to opt out of text notification, the entire team will only receive notifications by email.
If you, or your organization, do not want to receive these notifications by text, don't hesitate to get in touch with our Development Services Team and ask that we remove this option from your contact information. You can reach our team by calling 970-479-2139.
