Boulder County begins new outdoor emergency warning siren testing schedule
Boulder County has begun a new year-round monthly testing schedule of its outdoor emergency warning sirens.
These tests will be conducted on the first Monday of the month at 10 a.m. There are two sirens in Town, one located in Superior's Community Park and the other in Original Town on Coal Creek Drive.
Now is a great time to build redundancy into your plan for receiving emergency notifications as these outdoor emergency sirens are designed to alert people who are outside in nearby areas and are not intended to be heard indoors. To build redundancy and receive alerts, be sure to sign up for emergency notifications at BocoAlert.org.
If you block, screen messages, or have your phone on silent, consider adding 303-441-1400 as a contact. You can name the contact “Emergency Alert” and enable this number to get through.
