EnergySmart announces solar shade rebates for Superior residents
Big news from Superior and Boulder County's EnergySmart: Superior residents can now cool off in a new way: solar shades! EnergySmart rebates from the Town and County can save residents up to $750 on the purchase and installation of new double-cell or cell-in-cell shades.
Benefits include:
- Insulation – helps keep rooms cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
- Noise reduction – air pockets reduce the transmission of sound from outside
- Improved privacy – top-down designs let in natural light while maintaining privacy
- Better light control – choose light-filtering for soft sunlight or blackout for total darkness
These new rebates are available now!
Additionally, rebates are still available for items such as insulation and air sealing, as well as for electric appliances like heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, dryers, and induction cooktops. While you can apply right through the EnergySmart website, EnergySmart advisors are also available to answer questions and help you apply. Call them at 303-544-1000 or email info@energysmartyes.com.
All rebates align and can be combined with rebates from other entities, such as Xcel Energy and Boulder County, helping you maximize savings.
Not sure where to start in your home? The Town offers free home energy audits through Home Energy Squad Plus visit for residents. All installation, labor, and materials are covered - a $600 value! Visit Xcel Energy's website and use promo code SUPERIOR2025 to register for your free visit. There is a limited quantity of visits covered by the Town this year.
