Celebrate Arbor Day on April 26 with trees, tips & community fun!
Trees are vital to the health of our planet. They provide clean air, absorb carbon dioxide, and support biodiversity. They act as nature's air conditioners, cooling our surroundings and offering wildlife some relief. By planting and protecting trees, we're not just improving our immediate surroundings, we're investing in the future of our planet!
This year's Arbor Day celebration will focus on green education and hands-on volunteer opportunities. Help us plant trees throughout Purple Park while learning tree-planting tips and tricks specific to our area. This event includes free tree seedlings, GoatBros community goats, Vento Coffee truck, and more!
Group solar program offers big discounts
Superior residents can sign up now for the 2025 Boulder County group solar purchasing program, Switch Together. Switch Together makes it easier and more affordable for residents to install rooftop solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle chargers at home.
This Boulder County program organizes a “reverse auction,” where qualified installers, including installers local to Boulder County, compete to offer quality services at prices that reflect a bulk discount. The most recent Switch Together auction secured a price of $2.81/W, which is 21% lower than average market prices for an average discount of $5,135 per participating household.
Signing up for Switch Together is free, and there is no obligation to make a purchase. Nearly 1,000 Boulder County residents have signed up for previous iterations of the program in the past two years, and over 300 have installed solar through it.
The last day to sign up is June 18, 2025; head to the Switch Together website to learn more.
