Town seeks input on waste collection services
The Town’s current contract to provide waste collection services to residents ends this year. Community feedback is crucial to the decision-making process to ensure residents’ waste removal needs are aligned with the services provided.
The Town contracts with a waste hauler for recycling, trash and optional compost service that covers Original Town, Sagamore, The Ridge, Coal Creek Crossing, Downtown Superior, Calmante, Lanterns, Autrey Shores and Rogers Farm. If you live in those neighborhoods, you should have received a postcard asking for feedback on your priorities; other neighborhoods have contracts managed by their homeowner association. If you live in Superior, we want to hear what you think is most important! Please take the survey by May 31.
Have questions about waste hauling services in the Town of Superior? Visit the Town's website for more information about waste removal service or pickups.
Superior experiences windy days, especially in the spring and fall. Check out our tips to reduce wind-blown trash & recycling to help keep our community safe and reduce litter.

Opportunities abound for a greener yard
Huge discounts available on electric lawn equipment
Thanks to a new law that went into effect at the beginning of this year, Coloradans now have access to a 30% discount on electric lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and trimmers at participating retailers statewide — no voucher, rebate paperwork or other work needed!
How it works:
- Visit a participating store. You must go in person to get the discount (unavailable online). The state tax credit goes to participating retailers in exchange for offering a 30% discount to their customers. Discounts are already applied to in-store equipment prices.
- Pick out the qualifying electric equipment that works best for you and enjoy the instant discount.
- Enjoy cleaner air and a quieter piece of equipment when you work in your yard!
The State has not yet provided a list of participating retailers, but we have confirmed that the following stores close to Superior are participating. COPIRG has the most comprehensive list of stores we have seen, though not all information was recently confirmed. If you know of another local retailer participating, please let us know and we will update our information.
- JAX Lafayette Farm & Ranch: 400 W South Boulder Rd Ste. 3000, Lafayette
- Home Depot: 1200 W Dillon Rd, Louisville, CO 80027
