You "herd" it here first! Goat Bros, Hoof-Action Grazing will again provide grazing services in Superior this summer!
Goat grazing contributes to the Town's wildfire mitigation efforts as it's a popular method for reducing brush and overgrowth in open space areas. In addition to reducing fuel loads, the goats help fertilize the soil naturally, and at the end of the grazing period, they help sow native seed into the soil.
Please do not enter the grazing areas encircled by electric fencing! The goats are busy and need to focus on grazing. The vendor will also have herding dogs inside the electric fence area to assist with moving the goats throughout the area.
The goats will be grazing in the open space north and south of Mount Sopris Parkway and east of Indiana Street near Eldorado PK-8 School. They will graze from May 20 through Sept. 2.
The vendor will be on-site throughout this grazing period to monitor the goats closely and will have a trailer in the Wildflower Park parking lot area.
