Emergency Sirens System Testing First Monday of Each Month April through August
Boulder County has begun testing the county-wide emergency sirens system, including the two sirens located in Superior (see map below for locations).
The sirens tests will take place on the first Monday of each month from April through August. The tests will occur twice on each testing day, at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. In Superior, the testing will be silent.
Sirens are an effective way to warn people who are in an immediate threat to safety. They are meant to reach and be heard by people that are outside, not indoors, and will broadcast a voice message immediately following the siren signal to inform the public of the situation and what actions should be taken.
