Beginning April 24, contractors will be performing cracked asphalt repairs on Town owned and maintained streets located south of Coalton Road. This includes roads such as South Indiana Street, Torreys Peak Drive, Castle Peak Avenue, Yarrow Drive, Huron Peak Avenue, and their connecting roads.
Depending on weather, work will generally be performed between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on business days for the following three weeks. During this time, we ask that cars not park on streets where cracks may exist or locations that have been marked with white paint on the curb line.
The Town will be using a technology called mastic sealing, where the large asphalt cracks are blown out and cleared, and then a hot-poured asphalt mastic product is used to fill and seal the crack and level the pavement. During construction, there will be temporary lane closures while crews carry out the roadwork.
Town staff may ask residents to move cars parked in the street to facilitate construction. Please contact the Town of Superior Public Works Department with any questions at 303-499-3675.
