Public Meeting to Discuss Improvements to the Alleys and Undergrounding of Electric Lines In Original Town

The Town is hosting a public information session to discuss two upcoming projects in and near Original Town.
First, the Town will soon upgrade the alleys in Original Town. Summers Construction has been contracted to complete the Alley Decontamination and Replacement Project. This project will remove ash and fire debris deposited on alleys within Original Superior, eliminating potential dangers to existing and future residents of Superior associated with this debris. In addition, this project includes enhancements such as drainage improvements and alley extensions.
In the second project, the Town is working with Xcel Energy to underground the new electric distribution and service lines in Original Town, instead of re-building with above ground wooden poles. This will result increased safety and reliability for electric customers.
The purpose of the meeting will be for Town Staff and Xcel to review the scope of the projects with the public and answer any questions residents may have.
