Last Week’s Town Meetings Recap
Virtual Town Board of Trustees (12.14.20) - During Monday’s Town Board meeting, Trustees Paige Henchen, Tim Howard and Mark Lacis were sworn in. The Board heard a presentation and held a discussion with PROS Consulting regarding the Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Master Plan Update; approved an agreement with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office for dispatch services; approved the assignment and assumption of contracts between Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District and Mountain View Fire Protection District; and approved an amendment to the subdivision improvement agreement for the Morgan-Ranch Main Street Final Development Plan in Downtown Superior. The Board discussed their committee and representative appointments for outside entities and Town committees; determined regular Board meeting dates for 2021; discussed and provided direction to the Cultural Arts and Public Spaces Committee on art items at the 1500 Coalton Road Community Center; and approved an agreement for public art at the Oerman-Roche Trailhead. The Board also held a public hearing on a request for: a Subdivision Plat for Lot 20, Block 26 and Lot 1, Block 27, Superlot 4A, Discovery Office Park/Superior Town Center Replat No. 3 to create 24 developable lots and 6 outlots; and a Final Development Plan for Blocks 26 and 27 to develop 6 front-loaded units within Block 26 and 18 front-loaded units within Block 27. All units will be detached, single-family homes. The public hearing was continued to January 11, 2021.
PROSTAC (12.16.20) - During their meeting on December 16th members discussed the latest draft of PROST master plan presentation, provided guidance to include in upcoming revision, reviewed the 2021 work plan draft, discussed new playground plans and playground renovations as well as heard an update on construction progress at the 1500 Coalton Road community center.
Historical Commission (12.18.20) - The Superior Historical Commission covered many topics at its December meeting. One was an update on the Superior Cemetery restoration project with a focus on the final version of three interpretive signs that will installed just inside the entrance. Another set of interpretive signs is being developed for the farm equipment at Grasso Park and an update of that project was presented. Then a number of year-end purchases from the 2020 budget were approved. These include materials for exhibits and a laminating machine.
