Superior Sentinel - AUGUST 2020
|
Dear Superior Residents,
I hope you've all had a good summer adjusting to our new normal. Like you, I've missed our normal summertime activities like the 4th of July Parade and Pancake Breakfast and appreciate the virtual alternatives that our staff and others put together for residents.
As many of us prepare for the fall and the startup of school, it's important to stay up to date with the latest on the COVID-19 pandemic and the steps we should all be taking individually. Recently I received a comprehensive update from Colorado Governor Jared Polis and I wanted to pass it along to our residents. Our family wishes you and yours the best during the final weeks of the summer!
Mayor Clint Folsom

2020 US Census Non-Response Follow-Up (NRFU) in Boulder County
Beginning July 30, census takers will begin knocking on doors throughout Boulder County (including the Town of Superior) to collect responses from households that have not yet responded. This operation is known as Non-Response Follow Up (NRFU). "If you want to avoid an enumerator at your door, fill out your census today. Respond now to the #2020census and #ColoradoCounts". You can also respond online at www.2020census.gov or by phone at 1-844-330-2020.
Census takers should not be confused with door-to-door solicitors. Census takers should be easily identified by a valid ID badge with a photo, issued by the U.S. Department of Commerce. In carrying out their duties under Title 13 of the U.S. Code, Census employees are required to approach homes and businesses to gather information. If you want to know how to identify a legitimate employee or have any concerns of fraud, that information can be found here.
