Hearing Reminder: General Policies & Administration, et seq, Rulemaking Hearing on 1/14/2025

Good afternoon, 

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, the Colorado Department of State will host a rulemaking hearing. During the hearing, all members of the public will have an opportunity to comment on proposed amendments to the Colorado Department of State General Policies and Administration, et seq, Rules. Additional regulations may be amended as a result of this rulemaking, such as rules concerning elections, campaign and political finance, the Colorado Charitable Solicitations Act, lobbyist regulation, and the notary program. The hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at the end of public comment. 

This hearing will be conducted in person and online. To attend in person, please arrive at the Red Rocks conference room on the 5th floor of the Department of State’s office at 1700 Broadway, Denver, CO 80290, accessible by elevator from the building’s lobby level. To attend online, please use the registration link. You will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the hearing online.

We recommend you indicate in advance if you would like to testify at the hearing. For efficiency’s sake, public comment testimony may be time limited. 

All members of the public are free to submit written comments regarding the proposed draft rules at any time prior to and during the hearing. An additional opportunity to submit written comments after the hearing will be announced before the closing of the hearing. All written comments received during the comment period become part of the official rulemaking record and are posted online. We will redact apparent personal identifiable information, non-governmental email addresses, and cellular telephone numbers from submissions before posting, unless otherwise directed by the contributor.
