Notice of Public Hearing - Fraudulent Business Filings Working Group

Good morning,

Pursuant to SB 22-034, the Colorado Department of State will convene its first meeting of the Fraudulent Business Filings Working Group on August 31, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. This Working Group is authorized to meet in accordance with the newly enacted Section 7-90-315, C.R.S. 

The public meeting will convene in the Red Rocks Conference Room on the 5th floor of the Department of State’s office at 1700 Broadway, Denver, CO 80920 [Map]. The agenda is subject to change but will generally include discussion of the following:

(2) Overview of Colorado Open Meetings law and Colorado Open Records Act - Melissa Kessler, Legal & Policy Director, Department of State

(3) Summary of SB 22-034 - John Magnino, Director of Government and Public Affairs, Department of State

(4) Updates - Mike Hardin, Director of Business and Licensing, Department of State

(5) Discussion 

• Tasks and Assignments for Board Members
• Scheduling of Future Meetings

(6) Public comment and input

The Working Group encourages input from interested persons, either in writing prior to the meeting or orally at the meeting. Interested persons should provide their opinions or recommendations regarding any of the items on the agenda. The Working Group will receive all written submittals electronically. Submittals must be provided as PDF documents and may be emailed to business@coloradosos.gov.
