News Release
Ballots Returned: Oct. 27, 2017
DENVER, Oct. 27, 2017 -- The latest tally of ballots returned from Colorado's county clerks for the coordinated election on Nov. 7 is 282,683. Attached is the breakdown of this tally. The Secretary of State's office will publish a weekday update of ballots returned.
There is no statewide ballot measure, and six counties do not have any local issues so are not holding an election. Even if a county is conducting an election, voters who live in districts without any issues or races will not receive a ballot.
Secretary of State Wayne Williams and U.S. Postal Service recommend that voters mail in their completed ballots no later than Tuesday, Oct. 31, to allow for USPS sortation and delivery as well as processing and tabulation by local election officials. All completed ballots returned by mail must have proper postage affixed and must be in the hands of local election officials by 7 PM on Tuesday, Nov. 7, to be counted.
