Secretary Williams: Candidate for district attorney, state House make primary ballot 

DENVER, April 19, 2016 -- Secretary of State Wayne Williams announced today that two Denver Democrats have successfully petitioned onto the June 28 primary ballot.

Kenneth Boyd is running for Denver district attorney, while James Rashad Coleman is running for House District 7.

Here is the signature breakdown for Boyd:

  • Required: 1,000
  • Turned in: 1,708
  • Rejected: 262
  • Accepted: 1,446

Here is the signature breakdown for Coleman:

  • Required: 1,000
  • Turned in:  1,814
  • Rejected:  732
  • Accepted:  1,082

The Secretary of State's office is still counting signatures from other candidates who turned in their petitions, including four Republican U.S. Senate hopefuls: Jack Graham, Jon Keyser, Robert Blaha and Ryan Frazier.

Boyd and Coleman brings to seven the number of candidates who have been notified they successfully petitioned onto the primary ballot.
