Silverthorne Recreation Center Expansion Project: Weight Rooms
The Silverthorne Recreation Center expansion project is well underway! This project will enhance the facility to meet the community’s recreational needs and includes upgrades to both weight rooms.
Primary Weight Room
- 1,440 square feet of additional space
- Enhanced natural light with new windows overlooking Rainbow Park
- New and improved flooring
- Additional equipment (see full list on website)
- Powerlifting area with six half racks

Secondary Weight Room
- Free weight room designed for lighter weights and functional fitness workouts
- Additional equipment including a cable machine and Torque rack with relentless rope pull and ski erg (see full list on website)

Spring and Summer Program Registration Days
Winter programs are happening now at the Silverthorne Recreation Center. Session two of winter programs starts the week of March 1 and classes are still available. Explore all winter programs here!

Spring program registration opens March 10 for programs starting April 5.

Summer program registration opens April 7 for programs starting June 1.
Program details are posted two weeks before registration begins. The Silverthorne Recreation Center offers program scholarships and reduced-rate admissions and passes to applicants who meet income guidelines. Please complete the program scholarship form at least two weeks before registration begins.

Upcoming Programs

Little dancers ages 3 to 5 can practice creative movement using props and costumes in this beginner dance class. Jump over “mud puddles,” dance with beans and more in this fun class. Session B dancers are invited to participate in a recital on May 17.

Kids ages 5 through 12 can explore the fundamentals of ballet, tap and hip hop in this youth dance class. Move and groove to different styles and tempos while gaining body and spatial awareness and music appreciation. Session B dancers are invited to participate in a recital on May 17.

Build, create, experiment, and explore the snowy outdoors. From sculpting snowy creations to testing snow "ingredients," building snow shelters, launching snowballs, and engineering snow volcanoes, each session will blend movement, creativity, and outdoor exploration.
Hit the court this winter for pickleball fun at the Silverthorne Recreation Center! From Learn to Play Pickleball, Mixers, Advanced Clinics and Private Lessons, there are plenty of opportunities to play and meet other pickleball community members.

Little ones will learn to roll, handstand, swing, bounce and more using child-specific gymnastics equipment in a variety of toddler tumbling classes. Children will also work on separating from parents and following directions. Single-day Bounce & Tumble playtime sessions are also available.
Learn the six basic boxing punches in this strength and cardio conditioning style class that incorporates Muay Thai and “art of eight limbs.” All levels are welcome and the class will be taught by a bilingual English/Spanish instructor.

Upcoming Events
Friday, Feb. 6 at the Silverthorne Pavilion Make a wish and watch your wish lantern float down the Blue River at February First Friday! Celebrate a fusion of cultural traditions as we welcome a new year, drawing inspiration from Día de la Candelaria and the Lunar New Year. Enjoy live music with Remezcla, decorate wish lanterns and end the night with a dragon dance by the Colorado Asian Cultural Heritage Center.

Friday, Feb. 13 at the Silverthorne Pavilion The Silverthorne Pavilion invites you to Noche de Baile Latina with instructor Michael Marin! He will teach Salsa, Bachata and Merengue from 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed by open dancing until 10:30 p.m. This FREE event is open to all, regardless of dance experience. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.

Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Silverthorne Pavilion Join the Town of Silverthorne for a night of laughs on Saturday, Feb. 14, for the annual Valentine's Day Comedy Show at the Silverthorne Pavilion. This year's act features Caroline Rhea. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 for individuals. Friday, Feb. 20 at the Silverthorne Pavilion Enjoy an evening of guided lessons from 7 to 8 p.m., followed by open dancing and live music until 10:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and drinks will be available for purchase at the bar. Admission is $10 per person.

February Schedules
Take a fitness class at the Silverthorne Recreation Center! The Silverthorne Recreation Center offers a variety of drop-in fitness classes, including Pilates, Muscle Madness, water fitness and more.
Please note that reservations are required for 9 a.m. Muscle Madness classes. These classes are included in daily admission, but reservations are required due to limited space. Reservations are available 24 hours before a class, and walk-ins may be accepted only if space is still available.

The aquatics area features a variety of pools and amenities for all ages and interests. Bring your family in for a fun-filled day of play or unwind in the hot tub after a day outdoors.
Aquatics Waitlist: Due to the required lifeguard-to-patron ratios, the number of people allowed in the aquatics area may be restricted at times. When capacities are reached, guests will be placed on a waitlist to ensure the safety of our visitors. The front desk staff will collect contact information and will text those on the waitlist when space becomes available in the aquatics area. Thank you for your understanding and support as our lifeguards strive to provide a safe environment.

Grab your friends and family and head to the gym for a game of basketball, volleyball or pickleball. Be sure to check the schedule before your visit to ensure your activity is available.

Ice Skating at North Pond Park
North Pond Park is open for ice skating for the 2025-26 winter season!
The Town of Silverthorne plows and maintains the ice rink at North Pond Park through early March, depending on weather conditions. Bring your own skates (and hockey sticks) anytime from dawn to dusk and warm up in the adjacent hut.
