Winter Program Registration
Winter program registration for the Silverthorne Recreation Center will open on Dec. 9 at 7 a.m.

Winter Hours at the Silverthorne Recreation Center
Winter hours of operation at the Silverthorne Recreation Center have begun!.

Monday through Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aquatics Hours: 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Saturday: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aquatics Hours: 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Sunday: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aquatics Hours: 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Holiday Hours
The Silverthorne Recreation Center will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27 for Thanksgiving.
Kid's Korner Has a New Location
On Friday, Nov. 7, Kid’s Korner will be temporarily relocated to a newly designated space within the Silverthorne Recreation Center lobby area. Please note that this is not a general lobby play area, but a dedicated space, specifically built for Kid’s Korner programming while the recreation center expansion project continues.
The Silverthorne Recreation Center is grateful to continue operating Kid’s Korner as construction continues and appreciates the community’s understanding and cooperation during this transition.

Upcoming Programs
|
 Kids in the Kitchen
Kids will learn how to prepare farm-to-table, kid-friendly meals using produce and herbs from Silvana's Garden as the season allows. Kitchen safety, food preparation, basic cooking skills, and cleaning up will also be a focus of the class. This is a perfect class for those aspiring young chefs!

 Gymnastics
Take your gymnastics skills to the next level with a gymnastics class at the Silverthorne Recreation Center! Classes include use of the balance beam, bars, trampoline, floor, and more, and are a great way for kids to explore movement and energy in a safe environment.

 TRX Strength and Stretch
This short class will focus on strength training and stretching for all the major muscles, using the TRX, weights, bands and more for a balanced and quick workout.
 CPR and First Aid
Get the hands-on training you need to help during emergencies by getting CPR and First Aid certified. Learn to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. This course includes certification in both American Red Cross First Aid and lay-responder CPR/AED, which is valid for 2 years and satisfies most workplace requirements.

 Learn to Play Pickleball
Interested in learning how to play pickleball? Join the Silverthorne Recreation Center's Learn to Play class where you will learn the basics of pickleball, including rules, terminology, skills, scoring and more so you are ready to join the drop in opportunities around the county, or, around the country!
 Drop-In Line Dancing
In this class, participants will learn line dances to a variety of musical styles in a social and supportive fun environment. Bring your willingness to learn and laugh at your mistakes. Wear no-scuff shoes/sneakers. No prior experience necessary. Drop-ins welcome on Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 7 at the Silverthorne Pavilion
Join the Town of Silverthorne in honoring and celebrating Día de los Muertos and the vibrant Latine community of Summit County during November First Friday on Friday, Nov. 7, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Created in partnership with local community members, this event highlights the traditions and meaning of Día de los Muertos while promoting cultural understanding and diversity in Silverthorne. Día de los Muertos is a joyful time when the living and deceased come together to celebrate life in every form. This is not a somber holiday, but one of revelry and remembrance.
The Town of Silverthorne is proud to partner and collect donations for Mountain Dreamers at November First Friday. Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation, no matter how small or large. All contributions and a portion of event proceeds will benefit Mountain Dreamers, supporting their work in the community.

Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Silverthorne Pavilion Join the Town of Silverthorne for a celebration of cultures from around the world on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Silverthorne Pavilion! Learn about food, currency, traditions, languages, music, dances and more from our international neighbors living in Summit County.

Friday, Nov. 21 at the Silverthorne Pavilion Enjoy an evening of guided lessons from 7 to 8 p.m., followed by open dancing until 10:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and drinks will be available for purchase at the bar. Admission is $10 per person.

November Schedules
Take a fitness class at the Silverthorne Recreation Center! The Silverthorne Recreation Center offers a variety of drop-in fitness classes, including Pilates, Muscle Madness, water fitness and more.
Please note that reservations are required for 9 a.m. Muscle Madness classes. These classes are included in daily admission, but reservations are required due to limited space. Reservations are available 24 hours before a class, and walk-ins may be accepted only if space is still available.

The aquatics area features a variety of pools and amenities for all ages and interests. Bring your family in for a fun-filled day of play or unwind in the hot tub after a day outdoors.
Aquatics Waitlist: Due to the required lifeguard-to-patron ratios, the number of people allowed in the aquatics area may be restricted at times. When capacities are reached, guests will be placed on a waitlist to ensure the safety of our visitors. The front desk staff will collect contact information and will text those on the waitlist when space becomes available in the aquatics area. Thank you for your understanding and support as our lifeguards strive to provide a safe environment.

Grab your friends and family and head to the gym for a game of basketball, volleyball or pickleball. Be sure to check the schedule before your visit to ensure your activity is available.

Lost and Found Sale
Support the Youth Program Scholarship fund and help the Silverthorne Recreation Center clear out its lost and found! Eligible unclaimed items include water bottles, towels, swimsuits, and more. Each item will be available for a $1 donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Youth Program Scholarship Fund.
If you spot something that’s yours, you’re welcome to take it for free!
