Fall Program Registration Opens Tuesday, Aug. 5
Maintenance at the Silverthorne Recreation Center
Elevator Maintenance
The elevator at the Silverthorne Recreation Center will be out of service for approximately one month. The elevator is being updated and modernized, as parts for the existing elevator are no longer available.

ADA Access: During the elevator closure, ADA access will be available through the south-side pool gate. Members will be able to check in at the pool entrance and proceed to their activity on the lower level of the Recreation Center.

Silversneakers classes: Starting on Thursday, July 24, all Silversneakers classes will be held upstairs in the multi-purpose room located off the lobby.

Weight Room 2: Please access this room through the double doors off the hallway.
Gymnasium Curtain Replacement
The gymnasium curtain at the Silverthorne Recreation Center is being replaced, impacting the use of the indoor basketball, volleyball and pickleball court. The gym is expected to be partially closed on Monday, Aug. 11 and fully closed Tuesday, Aug. 12 through Thursday, Aug. 14.
Annual Wood Floor Resurfacing
The gymnasium and aerobics room will be closed for annual resurfacing work from Monday, Aug. 25 to Friday, Aug. 29. Please use the Rainbow Park and Trent Park Courts during this time.

Upcoming Programs

Enjoy running, power drills, bodyweight exercises and more during this energetic and fun outdoor boot camp class at Maryland Creek Park.

Fine-tune your gymnastics skills and learn new tricks this summer at the Silverthorne Recreation Center. Participants will also enjoy games, an obstacle course and outside time for a well-rounded, fun mini-camp.

Get outside and hike, play in the dirt, wade in water and just have fun! This camp is filled with outdoor games, crafts, and good old-fashioned summer camp-style activities and takes place at North Pond Park.

Little ones can try out skateboarding in this introductory environment. Children will learn about skateboarding gear and equipment, basic skateboarding stances, and how to safely get on and off a skateboard through games and other activities.

Friday, Aug. 1 at Fourth Street Crossing and the Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace Silverthorne will celebrate August First Friday with a community block party at Fourth Street Crossing on Friday, August 1. Listen to local bands and musicians, browse wares from more than 30 local artists, explore the Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace, participate in artful activities, and more, all around the businesses at Fourth Street Crossing. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind community event! August First Friday is sponsored in part by Xcel Energy.

Tuesday, Aug. 5 at Silverthorne Town Hall Join the Silverthorne Police Department on Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Silverthorne Town Hall for a free community cookout to celebrate National Night Out. Meet Silverthorne Police Officers, check out the police equipment, such as drones and bikes, and win giveaways during this community celebration. Free hot dogs, snacks and beverages will be provided. The celebration will be held in the back of Silverthorne Town Hall, along the Blue River Trail.

Sunday, Aug. 17 at Fourth Street Crossing and the Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace Enjoy a stroll through downtown Silverthorne between Bluebird Market and the Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Silverthorne Sunday Maker's Market. Experience a variety of local pop-up artists, makers, and musicians while enjoying Silverthorne's vibrant downtown.

August Schedules
Take a summer fitness class at the Silverthorne Recreation Center! The Silverthorne Recreation Center offers a variety of drop-in fitness classes, including Pilates, Muscle Madness, water fitness and more.
Please note that reservations are required for 9 a.m. Muscle Madness classes. These classes are included in daily admission, but reservations are required due to limited space. Reservations are available 24 hours before a class, and walk-ins may be accepted only if space is still available.

The aquatics area features a variety of pools and amenities for all ages and interests. Bring your family in for a fun-filled day of play or unwind in the hot tub after a day outdoors.
Aquatics Waitlist: Due to the required lifeguard-to-patron ratios, the number of people allowed in the aquatics area may be restricted at times. When capacities are reached, guests will be placed on a waitlist to ensure the safety of our visitors. The front desk staff will collect contact information and will text those on the waitlist when space becomes available in the aquatics area. Thank you for your understanding and support as our lifeguards strive to provide a safe environment.

The Recreation Center expansion project is underway. Construction has started, and patrons will notice a temporary construction wall inside the facility. The construction wall will impact the indoor track, which will be closed to regular track use during this phase of construction.
Expansion Highlights
The new area of the Recreation Center will feature licensed school-aged care, a multi-activity court (MAC) gymnasium with dedicated gymnastics space, expanded weight room space, a viewing area overlooking the MAC gymnasium and new multi-use rooms. These new spaces will provide more workout space, sports courts, and program space for community members.
