Celebrate the Holidays at December First Friday
Celebrate the holidays with the Town of Silverthorne at December First Friday! Head to the Silverthorne Pavilion on Friday, Dec. 6 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. for the annual holiday tree lighting ceremony and holiday art market. Sip on hot chocolate as you shop unique wares from over 35 local artists and enjoy live music, carolers, holiday crafts and more. Community members will also be able to visit with Santa himself.
The tree lighting ceremony will be held in front of the main Silverthorne Pavilion entrance at 6 p.m. Musical performances include the Rocky Mountain Brass Band, the Summit Community Orchestra, the Summit Choral Society and DJ Nathan Yan.
From 4:30 to 7 p.m., community members can also head to Red Buffalo Cafe to enjoy crafts from Frosted Flamingo and holiday story time with the Summit County Library.
Holiday Art Market
The Holiday Art Market will feature a second day of shopping after First Friday. Head to the Silverthorne Pavilion again on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to shop for the perfect holiday gift. The same vendors will be at the Silverthorne Pavilion on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7.
First Friday Tips
- Walk, ride your bike, carpool, or take the FREE Summit Stage to First Friday as parking is limited.
- Bring your reusable First Friday cup for $1 off beer or wine.
- Drink responsibly and designate a sober driver.
No outside alcohol is permitted at First Friday events.

A Christmas Carol runs from Dec. 4 to Dec. 22. A special Local's Night for working Summit County residents is being held on Dec. 10 and features discounted tickets, discounts at local restaurants iand childcare.
