Park and Recreation Month in Silverthorne
This July, the Town of Silverthorne is celebrating the people, spaces and programs that create a sense of belonging in Silverthorne. Join the Town and the National Recreation and Park Association in celebrating Park and Recreation Month!
Living close to parks and other recreation facilities is consistently related to higher physical activity levels for both adults and youth. Parks provide a connection to nature, which studies demonstrate relieves stress, strengthens interpersonal relationships and improves mental health.
Local park and recreation agencies provide spaces, programs and services that are essential to a community’s vitality. They also serve as key factors in advancing health equity, improving individual and community-level health outcomes, and enhancing quality of life.
Celebrate Park and Recreation Month in Silverthorne by visiting one of our many parks, taking a stroll or bike ride along the Blue River Trail, or participating in a program at the Silverthorne Recreation Center.

During construction, parking will be extremely limited for Trent Park and Willowbrook Trailhead as the current overflow lot is the location for the new park expansion. After construction, new parking spaces will be located along the extended Adams Avenue roadway and at the expanded park site.
For additional parking spaces, community members may park at North Pond Park or Silverthorne Elementary School, cross Hwy 9 at the pedestrian crossing and light, and then follow the sidewalk south to Trent Park.
