Silverthorne Second Grade Swim Lessons
Each year, the Silverthorne Recreation Center hosts a free swim lesson program for Summit County second graders. This program helps teach second graders safe behavior around water, self-survival skills and swimming as a lifetime activity. The Silverthorne Recreation Center recognizes that learning to swim is a crucial life skill, and has been offering the free, three-week swim program to second graders for 10 years. This year's program served more than 70 kids, and we hope they have a fun and safe summer around the water!

Use the power of the sun to create art and make your own snacks!

Put on your lab coat and goggles and get ready to experiment! Can you power a toy car with candy? Make snow in the summer? Watch a seed grow? See colors change before your very eyes using the power of the sun? The answer is YES! We will test hypotheses, conduct experiments and have fun with science!

An extended Adams Avenue will connect the Willowbrook and Smith Ranch neighborhoods.
Trent Park Expansion
The Trent Park expansion project will provide additional neighborhood amenities to the existing Trent Park on the north side of Willowbrook Road. The expanded park area will be located on the south side of Willowbrook Road on the Trent Park overflow lot. The expanded park will feature:
- A manufactured bouldering area
- Basketball court
- Bicycle pump track
- Court games
- Warming hut and bathrooms
- Picnic areas with grills
- Perimeter trail
- Parking lot
The Trent Park expansion project has received two grants to assist with funding:
- $600,000 from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) for Community Impact
- $1,250,000 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF)
Adams Avenue Extension
Adams Avenue Extension is a new roadway project that runs north-south to connect Smith Ranch Road to Willowbrook Road, over Willow Creek. The road connection on the south will align with Adams Avenue, cross Willow Creek, and meander to connect east of the houses on Badger Lane. Construction includes roadway and sidewalk, a 50-foot span bridge, parking on the north side, and a bus stop and mailbox shelter reconstruction. Adams Avenue Extension will connect Willowbrook and Smith Ranch neighborhoods to share amenities such as Trent Park and trail access.
