Amron Myers is the proud new owner of Red Buffalo Coffee & Tea. “We are so excited! There are many challenges, but we are so happy. I have some ideas and small changes that I want to make, but don't worry, the core of Red Buffalo will stay the same.”

A new stained glass installation is now on display at Silverthorne Performing Arts Center (SPAC) from Meggy Wilm, founder of Colorado Glass Works. While many think of stained glass as functional, like a privacy window or lamp fixture, or perhaps as vintage home décor in our grandparents’ house, Colorado Glass Works offers a vibrant, modern take on this art form.

There’s a new place in Silverthorne for both children and adults alike to enjoy. The PlayGarten is Summit County’s newest multi-age, multi-attraction indoor play destination providing year-round fun for all ages - including an in-house biergarten for adults. Kids have space to run, jump, climb and tumble, while adults can enjoy a variety of beverages and a place to gather with friends and family, no matter the season.

Last year the Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace opened to the public, providing creative space for the community with a retail area to purchase local art, a makerspace for creating and studio space for artists. The colorful building in the heart of downtown Silverthorne is part of the Town’s commitment to supporting public art, an initiative that saw 20 installations and exhibits featuring 33 artists in 2023 alone.

The Town of Silverthorne is working with a contractor to begin replacing water meters this summer. Installation typically takes less than an hour and residential water service will be interrupted for five to 10 minutes. Commercial customers may also experience water service interruptions during the installation. To update the water meters, the contractor will need access to the water meter at your property. Water meters are located inside, typically in a mechanical room or crawl space.
There is no cost to water customers to update their meter and there will be no change in water service. Learn more about replacing your water meter and how to schedule an appointment here.
During construction, parking will be extremely limited for Trent Park and Willowbrook Trailhead as the current overflow lot is the location for the new park expansion. After construction, new parking spaces will be located along the extended Adams Avenue roadway and at the expanded park site.
For additional parking spaces, community members may park at North Pond Park or Silverthorne Elementary School, cross Hwy 9 at the pedestrian crossing and light, and then follow the sidewalk south to Trent Park.

Stay bear aware in Colorado's high country! By being bear responsible, we can all do our part to make Silverthorne a better place for people and bears.
- Don't feed bears and don't put out food for other wildlife.
- Be responsible about trash and bird feeders.
- Burn food off barbecue grills and clean after each use.
- Keep all bear-accessible windows and doors closed and locked, including home, garage and vehicle doors.
- Don't leave food, trash, coolers, air fresheners or anything with a scent in your vehicle.
