Summer in Silverthorne

adults paddleboarding at North Pond Park

It's summertime in Silverthorne, meaning it's time to bike the Blue River Trail, cast a line in the Blue River, gather with friends at Rainbow Park or catch up with neighbors at a signature First Friday event.

Whether you are looking for a day filled with high-alpine adventure or a weekend full of local art, or both, Silverthorne has it all this summer. So head to Maryland Creek Park for a round of disc golf, to North Pond Park for an evening paddleboard session, or take a stroll along the Blue River Trail at a Sunday Art Stroll and support local artists and musicians. And don't forget to try a class at the Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace!

However you chose to explore, we hope you find where art meets adventure in Silverthorne this summer!

Trent Park Overflow Lot Closed for Park Expansion Project

During construction, parking will be extremely limited for Trent Park and Willowbrook Trailhead as the current overflow lot is the location for the new park expansion. After construction, new parking spaces will be located along the extended Adams Avenue roadway and at the expanded park site.

For additional parking spaces, community members may park at North Pond Park or Silverthorne Elementary School, cross Hwy 9 at the pedestrian crossing and light, and then follow the sidewalk south to Trent Park.

Know Before You Go: Plan Your Colorado Adventure Responsibly

Help us protect our public lands for generations to come by planning your Colorado adventure responsibly.

Know Before You Go

  • Almost half of Colorado is public land. Learn about the area you plan to visit before adventuring out so you can enjoy and help protect the spaces we all share.
  • Colorado’s weather and scenic terrain is stunning but can change drastically. Check conditions before you depart, pack layers, sun protection and rain gear, wear appropriate footwear ... and enjoy your trip.
  • Journey to places with minimal crowds to maximize your connection with the great outdoors. Have a backup plan in case the parking lot at your original destination is full.
  • Pack reusable water bottles to stay hydrated, limit waste and save money.
