Upcoming Silverthorne Municipal Election
The Town of Silverthorne will hold its regular municipal election on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The April 2024 municipal election will be conducted by mail-in ballot. Register to vote or check your voter registration status here.
The April election will feature two ballot questions for Silverthorne voters. Detailed ballot information is available on the Town of Silverthorne website.

Artist John Hastings, known as Rumtum, has not one, but two art displays around the Town of Silverthorne. You might not guess that the mural outside of the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center (SPAC) and the 10-piece exhibit inside the SPAC were created by the same person, especially because the large, colorful painted outdoor mural doesn’t initially resemble the muted sepia toned ink drawings inside. However, the inspiration behind both art displays come from the same place - Silverthorne itself.

After a couple years on the road, Mountain Melt has found a home kitchen in collaboration with Angry James Brewery. The newly constructed space inside the brewery offers patrons a variety of gourmet grilled cheese creations that blend a wide variety of cheeses with veggies, meats, spices and sauces. The side of tots have a cult following, and the menu rotates and expands each season.

El Viejón Mexican Food is the newest addition to Silverthorne’s burgeoning restaurant scene. Longtime friends, Aaron Infante and Luis Flores dreamt of opening a Mexican restaurant that reflected not only their roots but highlighted Mexico's authentic sazón.

Tuesday, March 19 at the Silverthorne Pavilion Join the Town of Silverthorne at the Safe Streets for Silverthorne Open House on Tuesday, March 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Silverthorne Pavilion. Community members will have the opportunity to review and provide input on draft project recommendations, explore the findings from the survey and crash analysis and meet the project team.

Thursday, March 28 at the Silverthorne Pavilion Help make Silverthorne more sustainable! Join the Town of Silverthorne for an informational and interactive open house as the Town develops a Sustainability Strategic Plan. Learn about the Town's plan process and participate in focus groups to share your thoughts on how the town and community can go green.

The Silverthorne Art Board is pleased to announce the 2024 Public Art Grant Program. Businesses and artists can apply to receive funding for projects that provide opportunities for the extended community to come together to share common and diverse histories, traditions and customs as well as enjoy permanent, temporary and spontaneous expressions of art and culture. Applications for the 2024 Public Art Grant Program are due Thursday, March 21 at 5 p.m.

The Summit County Wildfire Council provides matching grants to eligible homeowner groups to conduct hazardous fuels reduction projects to protect their property from wildfire. The 2024 Wildfire Grant Application deadline is Friday, April 26 at 2 p.m. Prior to submitting an application, all potentinal applicants must complete a Pre-application form. Pre-applications are due March 29, 2024.
