Silverthorne Plans for Improved Traffic Flow Along Stephens Way

As part of the Town of Silverthorne’s transportation master plan, the Town is working to improve traffic flow along Stephens Way. The Town purchased the Burger King and Pizza Hut lots earlier this year to make room for future lanes. Demolition will begin on the former Burger King building by the end of the year. The former Pizza Hut building is being utilized by local nonprofit, CAFE Food Rescue, and will continue to be used by the group until the building is demolished to make way for the Stephens Way improvements.

The Town is planning to add two lanes to Stephens Way to create a four-lane road, easing congestion on this essential road. Planning and preliminary design for the Stephens Way improvements will occur in 2024.

In addition, the Town is working closely with the new property owners of the former Arby’s to include room for the additional lanes as the property is redeveloped. The Town is also working with the Outlets at Silverthorne as the indoor mall of the Red Village is demolished to make way for future redevelopment plans.
