Kids Korner at the Silverthorne Recreation Center
Looking to get a workout or need some quiet time to work in the Silverthorne Recreation Center lobby? Let your little ones play and discover at Silverthorne Recreation Center's Kid’s Korner. Children ages 6 months to 6 years are welcome in Kid’s Korner while parents use the Recreation Center. Spaces are available first come, first-served during open hours.
Time in Kid’s Korner is limited to two hours per child per day. See attendants for detailed Kid’s Korner policies.

Upcoming Programs
|
Whether you are a gymnast, cheerleader, or training for something special, we welcome you to try the out the gymnastics equipment. Each week bars, beam, vault, and floor will be set up. Optional equipment may include tumble track, rings, and trampoline.
|
Children can tumble and grow as they learn how to roll, swing, bounce and more. Children will work on separating from their parent and following directions on their own. Parents must be present during class to assist with some activities.

Allow your young naturalist to be guided by their sense of wonder as they are introduced to nature concepts through a combination of storytelling, nature-play, and arts and crafts. Children will use their senses to explore critters, plants, puddles, rocks, logs, and more!

Tap, turn, and leap as your little one explores multiple styles of dance an develops an appreciation of movement. In this class, tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop dance fundamentals will be taught through fun choreographed routines.

Drop-in Schedules
Get ready for winter with a fitness class at the Silverthorne Recreation Center! The Silverthorne Recreation Center offers a variety of drop-in fitness classes like Pilates, yoga, muscle madness, water fitness and more.
|
The aquatics area hosts many different pools and amenities for people of all ages and interests. Bring your family in for a fun day of play or soak in the hot tub after a day outside.
Due to required ratios between lifeguards and patrons, the number of people allowed in the aquatics area may be restricted at times. When capacities are reached, guests will be placed on a waitlist to ensure the safety of our visitors. The front desk staff will collect contact information and will text those on the waitlist when space becomes available in the aquatics area. Thank you for your understanding and support as our lifeguards strive to provide a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment.

Friday, Nov. 3 at the Summit Assembly Hall at Bluebird Market The Town of Silverthorne is honoring and celebrating Día de los Muertos and the vibrant Latine community living in Summit County at November First Friday. In partnership with local community members, this fun and educational event has been created to promote understanding and cultural diversity within our community.

Wednesday, Nov. 8 at Silverthorne Town Hall Join the Town of Silverthorne for a flag-raising ceremony in honor of all veterans on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 3:30 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 10 at the Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace Join the Town of Silverthorne and the Summit Chamber for the monthly Chamber Mixer. Take a tour of the Art Spot, enjoy live music from Raez, and complimentary drinks and appetizers from the Colorado Marketplace and Bakery with entrance fee. Bring your own plain cotton t-shirt and participate in a screen-printing pop-up activity. A limited number of clean, preloved t-shirts will be available for printing. This event is open to the public and is $5 for Summit Chamber members and $20 for non-members.

Thursday, Nov. 16 at the Silverthorne Pavilion Join the Town of Silverthorne for a celebration of cultures from around the world on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Silverthorne Pavilion! Learn about food, currency, traditions, languages, music, dances and more from our international neighbors living in Summit County.

Friday, Nov. 17 at the Silverthorne Pavilion Enjoy an evening of guided lessons from 7-8 p.m. followed by open dancing and cash bar until 10:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., admission is $10.

Breck Create: Stephanie Mercado's The Seeds of Dreams Exhibit
In partnership with Mountain Dreamers, Breck Create's The Seed of Dreams exhibit by artist Stephanie Mercado is a tribute to the vibrant Latine communities of Summit County, CO. The exhibit shines a spotlight on the unwavering dedication and resilience of Latine workers quietly working behind the scenes to establish roots and harvest dreams. Through a series of portraits, this exhibition pays homage to individuals who contribute to the fabric of society.
The Seeds of Dreams is now on display at the Old Masonic Hall in Breckenridge through Nov. 26. The exhibit will travel around Summit County to various locations and will be on display at the Silverthorne Recreation Center from Feb. 16 to March 15, 2024. Learn more here.
