To make the most of your experience, consider visiting during the early hours or later in the day. For a seamless journey, hop on the free Summit Stage – your ticket to hassle-free access. If the trailhead parking lot is full, do not park on town streets. Parking on town streets is prohibited. Vehicles will be ticketed and towed.

Friday, Sept. 1 at Rainbow Park Join the Town of Silverthorne for an end of summer celebration at September First Friday! Head to Rainbow Park on Friday, Sept. 1 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. for a free concert from blues musician Tab Benoit and opening act The Rumble, along with tons of free kid's activities.

Tuesday, Aug. 29 at the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center Join the Town of Silverthorne for an artist reception from 4 to 6 p.m. honoring our 2023 Exhibiting Artists! The reception will include live music, food from Mountain Melt Food Truck and a cash bar. Following the reception, don’t miss Theatre SilCo’s show Baskerville starting at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 29 at the Wildflower Nature School Join the Town of Silverthorne for the open house and ribbon cutting of the Wildflower Nature School in Silverthorne from 4 to 6 p.m.

Silverthorne Recreation Center Closed Sept. 5 through Sept. 24
The Silverthorne Recreation Center will be closed Sept. 5 through Sept. 24, reopening Sept. 25, as demolition begins for Phase 2 of the renovation project. The Breckenridge Recreation Center will accept Silverthorne Recreation Center members during the closure. Please note, the Breckenridge Recreation Center Aquatics Area will also be closed for renovation during the Silverthorne closure and will not be available.
Phase 2 will include:
- Complete renovation of the men's and women's locker rooms including lockers, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, mechanical and plumbing.
- Replacement of gymnasium wood floor (basketball courts). The gymnasium wood floor will be fully closed August through October, exact reopening date to be announced.
- Gymnastics programming has been temporarily relocated to The Outlets, see the Silverthorne Recreation Center front desk for details.
Please note that Phase 2 construction work will continue after the Sept. 5 to Sept. 24 closure with an anticipated reopening date of the men’s and women’s locker rooms in January 2024.

The Town of Silverthorne is seeking local artists to display and sell their work in the retail space at the Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace. The Art Spot retail space is a dedicated platform for local artists to exhibit and sell their work making it a perfect venue to reach art enthusiasts, collectors, and appreciators.
Applications are due by August 28 at noon.

The Town of Silverthorne seeks community members to fill one opening on the Art Board and three openings on the Events Committee. Members will help guide Silverthorne’s emerging arts scene and support the goals of the Arts and Culture Strategic Plan.
Those interested in serving on the Art Board or the Events Committee must submit a letter of interest to be considered for appointment.
Letters of interest are due September 14 at noon.
