The Town of Silverthorne is excited to announce the First Friday event line up for spring and summer! Silverthorne’s First Fridays are an opportunity for residents, businesses and visitors to come together and celebrate what makes Silverthorne so special. We hope to see you at these fun community events!
Friday, April 7 at the Silverthorne Recreation Center
Join the Town of Silverthorne for a special 80s themed April First Friday Rollerama event at the Silverthorne Recreation Center on Friday, April 7 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Community members will enjoy a free roller skating rink, free skate rentals and free use of the Silverthorne Recreation Center, as well as face painting, crafts, themed aerobic and dance classes and more. April First Friday will also celebrate Silverthorne’s Boot Gordon, who turns 99 years young this spring.

Friday, May 5 on the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center lawn
One of Silverthorne’s most popular First Friday events, the Locals’ Appreciation Party, will be held on Friday, May 5. Featuring free beer, wine and liquor tasting, along with live music from Blue River Grass and the Chris Bauer Band, this event benefits a variety of local non-profit organizations through community donations. In past years, the Locals’ Appreciation Party has raised more than $30,000.

Friday, June 2 on the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center lawn
Kick off summer at June First Friday! Community members are invited to listen to live music, learn about summer programs and activities from local non-profits, and enjoy free summer themed activities.

Friday, July 7 at Rainbow Park
The Town of Silverthorne is thrilled to welcome American blues and southern rock band North Mississippi Allstars to play a free community concert at July First Friday on Friday, July 7 at Rainbow Park. Enjoy live music, free kid's activities and more at this summer celebration.

Friday, August 4 at Fourth Street Crossing
Silverthorne will be celebrating August First Friday with a community block party at Fourth Street Crossing on Friday, August 4. The block party will feature live music, local art vendors, live art demonstrations, kid’s activities and more around the businesses at Fourth Street Crossing. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind community event.

Friday, Sept. 1 at Rainbow Park
In September, Silverthorne will welcome musician Tab Benoit to Rainbow Park for a free concert on Friday, Sept. 1. Tab Benoit will bring his Blues and Louisiana style to Silverthorne, along with opening act, The Rumble, to the high country. In addition to the free concert, community members will enjoy fun kid’s activities and more.

Have you seen the winter photography exhibit on display inside the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center? On display through the end of April, the exhibit showcases local photographers' work focusing on action sports and adventure.

In the latest Silverthorne Stories video, actress Alexis DeJoy of Theatre SilCo shares what its been like to graduate college and begin a career in theatre during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since moving to Silverthorne, Alexis has enjoyed getting to know the community and being inspired by local youth.
