CDOT Project To Affect Silverthorne Traffic
The Colorado Department of Transportation has begun work on the eastbound Frisco to Silverthorne auxiliary lane project. Work is expected to go through September 2023. The exit 205 interchange (Highway 9 & Highway 6) will see the majority of work in 2022.
Motorists can expect the following for the exit 205 interchange: • Alternating one-lane closures in both directions at night and shorter left lane turn-pockets. The shorter turn lanes are expected to be in place 24/7 until July. • Daytime work hours from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (minimal impacts after noon on Fridays). • Nighttime work hours will vary, starting as early as 8:00 p.m. and going no later than 6:00 a.m. • Sidewalks will remain open and detour around active work areas. • Lanes on US 6 will be reduced to 10 feet.
As the project progresses in the coming months, plan for up to 20 minutes of additional travel time in the work zone. For additional information and the latest updates on this project, please visit CDOT's website.
