Summit County Public Health Order 

Effective Thursday, December 30, 2021, masks will be required inside the Silverthorne Recreation Center per the Summit County Public Health Order due to the rise of COVID-19 infections in our area. The public health order requires masks, which fully cover your mouth and nose, indoors for everyone age two and older, whether vaccinated or not.

  • Masks will be required at all times in the facility except while showering, swimming or using the steam room and sauna. Masks are not required while swimming or showering but are required on the pool deck going to and from the pools and in common areas of the locker rooms.
  • Disinfectant spray and disinfectant wipes are readily available. Members are required to wipe down equipment and touch points before and after their use.
  • Please stay home if sick or exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Failure to follow guest policies or staff instructions may result in suspension or revocation of facility privileges.

If you do not feel comfortable wearing a mask while enjoying our facility, you may email recreation@silverthorne.org to request a prorated refund on your membership.

Registration for Session 2 of Winter Programs

Limited spaces are still available for kids and adult programs in Session 1 of winter programs.

Session 2 of winter programs will open for registration on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 7 a.m. for winter programs that run Feb. 20 through April 2.

This 4v4 rotating pairs league is a great opportunity to play competitive women's volleyball with different players. Register with one other female player to make a "team."

Healing: Rest & Digest Workshop

Navigate stress and process and heal from past traumas and triggers in this workshop. We'll use Yin yoga asana, stress release techniques, self-massage, journaling and mantras to understand the emotions of our autonomic nervous system and daily life.

January Pool Schedule

Soak tired muscles in the hot tub or relax in the sauna after a day of skiing or snowboarding, or spend a day climbing and sliding into the pool!

January First Friday Winter Celebration

Friday, Jan. 7
Celebrate winter in Silverthorne with sledding and ice skating! Head to Maryland Creek Park for sledding under the lights, or to North Pond Park for ice skating, on Friday, Jan. 7 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Bring your own equipment and enjoy a winter evening under the lights at one of Silverthorne's parks.

Thursday, Jan. 13 
Enjoy an evening of guided lessons from 7-8 p.m. followed by open dancing and cash bar until 11 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door.

Lend a Helping Hand

The Silverthorne Recreation Center offers a variety of American Red Cross Certified classes to help you in your everyday life. There are plenty of opportunities for you, your family, or your staff to learn how to lend a helping hand in today's world.


Community First Aid & CPR

Open to ages 12 and older, this program helps participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. This course includes a certification in both American Red Cross First Aid and lay-responder CPR/AED. Courses take just a few short hours, but can mean all the difference to those in need.

Adult Mental Health First Aid 

Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, this 8-hour Mental Health First Aid course teaches you how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. You’ll learn risk factors and warning signs, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.

Youth Mental Health First Aid 

This groundbreaking prevention program teaches adults who interact with youth the risk factors and warning signs for mental health challenges common among adolescents and young adults. Participants will learn how to reduce stigma around mental health and how to help youth in mental health crises. Mental Health First Aid is just as important as traditional CPR/First Aid courses.
