Project Updates
The team has been working hard preparing for the CDHS migration out of eFORT on Feb. 16 and 17 (this weekend). Planning is underway for OIT migrations in the coming months, and the team can see the finish line!
Check out the remaining planned migrations on the timeline below, and remember to check future editions of the Tech Debt Remediation newsletter for updates.
Due to compliance requirements, the cutover from MIPC to Webex DI platform had to be canceled on Feb. 9. The OIT Voice team and our IT vendor are working on a new date for the cutover to occur. Once the teams determine new times and dates for the needed work, they will share the proposed dates with IT Directors and agency partners for approval.
With the migration of the mainframe to the vendor-hosted environment completed, the team is now focused on modernizing and improving several critical applications. This includes incorporating IT Service Management (ITSM) into the new mainframe environment, leading to a better customer experience for our agency partners. We will also be one step closer to ensuring Coloradans will continue receiving life-sustaining benefits and support from our agency partners while setting the foundation for a modern, cost-effective, agile digital government in Colorado.
The Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) were sent to the Social Security Administration. They anticipate sharing their review and feedback with the team in a few weeks. The team is also working to test the remaining data sets in preparation for the deployment to agency production environments. The project is 94% complete and will be completed by the end of February 2024.
The modernized EBT application is being tested for both accessibility and functionality. EBTEdge, the system that transfers benefits to recipients’ accounts, is scheduled for an upgrade in the next 60 days. The team is working with the vendor (FIS) to determine how that upgrade may impact the modernization effort and timeline for agency deployment.
Check out future editions of the Tech Debt Newsletter for updates on the EBT Modernization project.
The project team successfully deployed the final remediations for the Department of Transportation (CDOT) to the agency’s production (live) environment on Jan. 31, 2024. The project is officially complete.
Congratulations to the entire team!
The ServiceHub Telecom Asset Management project addresses the challenges faced by the State of Colorado in managing and tracking telecom assets across its 1,200 locations. Telecom assets include voice, data and video tools used to connect people and systems.
The team met with the selected vendor, Glidefast, to prepare for the official project kick-off in the next few weeks. The team will continue to work on the project plan and scope, and once that is completed, they will begin to reach out to your IT Directors to schedule informational meetings with impacted agencies. Customers can continue viewing and managing their telecom billing activities through TEMS at this time.
