There are a number of new and updated mapping resources from both the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the CBO.
FCC Broadband Funding Map: On May 15, the FCC released the Federal Funding Map, which provides an overview of broadband infrastructure deployment projects funded by the Federal government and overlays where Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have reported to the FCC the availability of internet services. The FCC was directed to create this map by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
FCC National Broadband Map: On May 30, the FCC updated the data in the National Broadband Map (NBM). The NBM was originally released on Nov 18, 2022 and is updated biannually with data from the FCC Broadband Data Collection (BDC). The map shows available Internet services as reported by ISPs to the FCC. The newly released data depicts service availability as of Dec. 31, 2022 (the previous data depicted service availability as of June 30, 2022).
Colorado Broadband Map: On June 12, the CBO updated the Colorado Broadband Map using a dataset based on data from the FCC BDC as well as data collected by the CBO. The Colorado Broadband Map and other CBO mapping and data resources can be found on the CBO Mapping Hub.
