Broadband Advisory Board Meeting
The monthly Broadband Advisory Board meeting, set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 16, will feature an update on the Colorado Department of Education's Connecting Colorado Students Grant (CCSG) Program, as well as updates on broadband needs from the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, and the Office of e-Health Innovation. February Lunch & Learn: Project THOR
The monthly Lunch & Learn webinar will take place at noon on Feb. 23. This session will feature Project THOR, a regional fiber network project organized by the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments (NWCCOG). Nate Walowitz and a number of Project THOR stakeholders will share how they have created a robust, redundant and affordable middle mile fiber network across Northwest Colorado through government and industry collaboration, public private partnerships, and creative and committed leadership to drive the project to completion.
We will also discuss how NWCCOG, other regional governments, and state agencies plan to deploy additional middle mile network services to help broadband reach all Coloradans.

FCC Roundtable Discussion on Emergency Broadband Benefit Program
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will host a virtual roundtable discussion on the new Emergency Broadband Benefit Program on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10 a.m EST. The event will include remarks from FCC Acting Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel, as well as Commissioners Carr, Starks and Simington, followed by a panel discussion. The roundtable is open to the public and will be live streamed at https://www.fcc.gov/live.
