In January, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) established the $20.4 billion Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF). The Phase 1 auction (Auction 904) will award up to $16 billion for the deployment of voice and fixed broadband services to approximately 5.9 million unserved locations nationwide. The auction is currently scheduled to begin October 22, 2020.
