Memory Square and Recreation & Senior Center Playgrounds Are Under Construction.
Construction is underway on two new playgrounds, one at the Recreation & Senior Center and the other at Memory Square. Both are scheduled to reopen in fall of 2026.
These playgrounds are two of Louisville’s oldest, the third being Community Park. All three are about 20 years old. Since 2018, Louisville has been proactively replacing its oldest playgrounds as part of a multi-year replacement program. Seven playgrounds have already been replaced.
We’re excited to unveil the new playgrounds at Memory Square and the Recreation & Senior Center later this year. Stay tuned for reopening information!
