Museum Treat Bag Giveaway
The Museum will hand out free Treat Bags for children during the Parade of Lights on Friday, December 5, from 5:30–7 p.m., while supplies last. This tradition began in the 1920s, when Louisville community groups filled bags with oranges, nuts, and ribbon candy. For many children, these simple treats were a special part of the season—and, during the Depression, sometimes the only gift they received.
