First Friday: Louisville Soda Parlor
Date: 06/06/2025 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Location: Louisville Historical Museum 1001 Main Street Back by popular demand, June's theme is "Louisville Soda Parlors." Cast your vote for the "right" name—soda, pop, or cola—and make ice cream in a bag! Set to the tune of the live musical stylings of a local barbershop quartet, this night will be full of fun facts about Louisville's soda parlors, as well as samples of historic soda floats!
Fire Station Block Party
Date: 06/08/2025 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Location: Fire Station #1 1240 Main St. Louisville's Fire Station Block Party is back for its 4th year! This is a free event that celebrates Louisville's first responders and all they do for our community. Everyone is welcome to join in on the fun! This year's block party will be jam-packed with fun activities! We will have live music by The Guardians, an arcade bus, carnival games, and caricaturists. Grab a tasty treat from one of our local food trucks, play some games, and boogie to some classic tunes! We can't wait to see you there! This event is free and open to the public, no registration required.
Smock Trial: Smocking Workshop
Date: 06/07/2025 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Location: Library Meeting Room 951 Spruce Street Learn the art of “smocking,” a traditional hand-sewing technique that is decorative and functional. Smocking originated in the 15th century as a practical way to create fitted clothes that could stretch. Designs became more elaborate as smocking was used to decorate clothes and home goods into the 21st century. No sewing experience is necessary. Registration is required.
