Crafting quilts in Louisville
Join us this Friday, April 4, from 6–8 p.m. for the first First Friday event of the year! Sewing quilts in Louisville has been a traditional way for women to gather, build community, and create something of use. Learn about this traditional skill, try your hand (and feet) on an antique sewing machine, see quilts from Louisville’s history, and try your hand at free quilting a fabric coaster to take home!

 Library closed in April
Even libraries need a spring refresh! This April, the Louisville Public Library is rolling out the new carpet (literally) and breaking out the paint brushes to give your library space some TLC. After serving our community since 2006 with the same carpet and paint, it's time for a little freshening up. During April, the History Book Club will meet elsewhere. Contact MaryKBarry@Gmail.com for information about the History Book Club.

 Historic Photo Feature
Louisville out and about!
This photo from Louisville's past shows a Louisville fire truck with the words: "Louisville Fire Dept No 2." Three men standing next to the truck are Dom Tomeo, John Lombardi, and Joe Compana. The truck is parked on Boulder's Pearl Street with many businesses shown, including the Arnett Hotel building. The hotel building at 1025 Pearl Street was built in 1872 and served as the Arnett Hotel from 1913-1946. This photo is likely from the 1940s. On May 6, 1978 the roof of the Arnett Hotel caved in and destroyed the building.
