 Snowed In: First Friday at the Library
The Louisville Public Library will host our annual holiday open house, with live music, winter crafts for all ages, a snowy photo booth, and cozy refreshments. Drop in on Friday, December 6, from 5-7 PM to warm up before heading out to watch the Parade of Lights.

In a year of firsts, the library is here to support your growing reader. This school year, first graders can sign up for 50 Books in First Grade at the library, or register online. Prizes are awarded for reading 30 books and 50 books.

Parade of Lights Holiday Treat Bag Giveaway
Friday, 12/6 | 5 - 7 p.m. Louisville Historical Museum (1001 Main Street) The Museum will give away free Holiday Treat Bags for children during the Parade of Lights on Friday, December 6, while supplies last. The treat bags will be available at the Museum, 1001 Main St, between 5 and 7 PM.
Workshop: Hand Mending and Embroidery
Saturday, 12/14 | 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Library (951 Spruce Street) Feeling thrifty? Louisville residents from earlier days made the most of their clothing and fabrics. Kristen Poppe will show you how to use decorative stitching and embroidery to mend and repair clothes and textiles. We’ll use these skills to make small potpourri sachets for the holidays. Space is limited, registration required.
