Since 1983, Valley Road has come alive with the excitement of the Gypsum Daze Parade—an annual tradition that brings hundreds of people together to celebrate the warm, family-friendly spirit of Gypsum, Colorado.
We invite all organizations to join the Gypsum Daze Parade. Whether you're a local business, school group, or community club, this is a great opportunity to showcase your heritage, talents, services, and hometown pride. Best of all, floats that embrace our parade theme will be eligible to win cash prizes for first, second, and third place!

PREP & LINEUP: Ridley's Market at 8:15 AM
THEME: Celebrate how far we’ve come! In honor of Colorado’s 150th anniversary and the nation’s 250th, this year’s parade theme, Pioneer to Present, highlights the incredible journey from our rugged pioneer roots to the vibrant, innovative community we are today. From covered wagons and frontier spirit to modern life and future possibilities, each float will showcase a piece of our shared story—and how the past continues to shape our future.
For the 2026 Gypsum Daze Parade, we can’t wait to see your creative spin on this year’s theme: Pioneer to Present. Let your imagination run wild! Maybe your float features a “Timeline Trail” showing eras from early settlers to today’s innovations, or pioneers “discovering” today’s tech. Perhaps you’ll go with a fun twist like “Frontier to Future,” mix pioneer life with pop culture, or highlight how our community has evolved over time.
PRIZES: 1st Place $300, 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $100.
JUDGING CRITERIA: Creativity, enthusiasm, and adherence to the parade theme.
